Check it out here on her blog, Cursive Arts, Writing on Art & Craft: Mine and Other People's. And don't forget to visit her etsy shop, she makes some beautiful linocut cards and shadow boxes that I absolutely adore.
On the illustration front, I've just finished up this little painting. I had no idea I was going to draw this smooching couple, but then it fluidly came out of my brain and now it exists in real time and space. A little late for Valentine's Day......but who needs a holiday to remind each other that our partner's lips are totally kissable? I know I don't.
I plan to make cards and prints out of this image, so let me know if you have any interest. Next time I promise to do more practical paintings, I really do. Maybe.
Speaking of practical, and circling back around to liking to talk about myself....I have officially joined the Twitter Brigade. I have yet to Tweet. I'm afraid to Tweet. I will do it, though, and soon. And then, once I've started, watch out world, because I may never stop!

Goodnight!

Great article! Nice to see you getting some much deserved press. And good advice about the pie, too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the interview! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteYay for press! It's awkward, but necessary. Keep making stuff!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Brooke!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the feature! And I like seeing people 'random' drawings that erupt. It makes me feel more normal. :)
